Rick L. Burdick has served as a Director of CBIZ since 1997 and as non-executive Chair of the Board since August 2022. He was previously the Board's Lead Director beginning in May 2007 and Vice Chair beginning in October 2002, roles that were eliminated upon his elevation to Chair.
For over three decades he practiced law at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, serving as a partner from 1988 until his 2019 retirement, where he advised large public and multinational companies on transactional, regulatory and financial-reporting matters. He is a National Association of Corporate Directors Fellow and holds the CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight.
