Kate Adams served as Apple's Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary from November 2017, overseeing legal, corporate governance, intellectual property, litigation, compliance, global security, and privacy. Before Apple she was General Counsel of Honeywell International from September 2008 and earlier a partner at Sidley Austin LLP. She transitioned the General Counsel role to Jennifer Newstead on March 1, 2026, and is overseeing Apple's government affairs organization until her retirement in late 2026; she remained a named executive officer for fiscal 2025.
