L. John Doerr has served on Alphabet's Board since 1999 and is a member of the Leadership Development, Inclusion and Compensation Committee. He has been Chair of the venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins since March 2016, having joined as General Partner in August 1980.
He is the author of Measure What Matters and Speed & Scale.
