Richard Galanti is the retired Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Costco Wholesale Corporation. He joined Costco in March 1984 as Vice President, Finance and became Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in January 1985; following the October 1993 merger of The Price Company and Costco he became Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, a position he held until March 2024, remaining an Executive Vice President of Costco until his retirement in January 2025.
He also served as a Costco director from January 1995 until January 2025. Prior to joining Costco he worked in investment banking at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. He was appointed to Affirm's Board effective July 1, 2025 and serves on the Compensation Committee.
