Robert W. Schwartz is the chairman and founder of Schwartz Heslin Group, Inc., a corporate-finance and M&A advisory firm he founded in 1985. Earlier in his career he founded and led telecommunications company Winsource, Inc. and served as president and chief operating officer of American Stock Exchange-listed Coradian Corporation, which he took public in 1979. He serves on the boards of several corporations and chairs Advent's audit committee.

Seth Lukash was appointed to Advent's board of directors as a Class II director in November 2024 and chairs the audit committee. A seasoned corporate director and investor, he spent 30 years as a chief executive of technology and manufacturing companies, including as CEO and president of Tridex, Inc. (now TransAct Technologies) and chairman and CEO of Progressive Software. He is a graduate of the University of Miami with a B.A. in finance.

Chris Antonopoulos joined Advent's board of directors as a Class II director in January 2026, in connection with a secured promissory note investment in the company. He served as Chief Executive Officer of renewable-energy developer Lekela Power beginning in 2015, and previously was Group Vice President for global sales and business development at Bombardier Transportation and held senior management positions at ABB. He holds master's degrees in mechanical engineering and industrial management from ETH Zurich.

Gary Herman has served as Advent Technologies' Chief Executive Officer and Interim Chief Financial Officer since October 2024, having joined the board of directors in August 2024. A seasoned investor, he co-managed the Strategic Turnaround Equity Partners, LP fund and its affiliates from 2005 to 2020 and was affiliated with New York broker-dealer Arcadia Securities LLC over the same period. He also serves on the boards of several other public companies, including Siyata Mobile, Inc. and SusGlobal Energy Corp.

Dr. Emory S. De Castro has been Advent's Chief Technology Officer since 2013 and also serves as a director, responsible for the company's overall technical, manufacturing and business-development operations. Before joining Advent he was Vice President of Business Management and site manager for BASF Fuel Cell Inc. and Executive Vice President of the E-TEK Division of De Nora North America. He holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Cincinnati and a B.S. in chemistry from Duke University and is named on more than 100 patent applications.

James F. Coffey has served as Advent's Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since February 2021, after acting as the company's outside legal counsel beginning in 2018. He has more than thirty years of experience in corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and intellectual property, and previously served as general counsel to HT-PEM fuel-cell company Trenergi from 2013 to 2017. He earned an LL.M. in corporate law from New York University School of Law and a J.D. from the New England School of Law.

Dr. Vassilios Gregoriou co-founded Advent Technologies in 2012 and served as its Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Acting Chief Financial Officer until his termination in October 2024. An internationally recognized scientist, he held research and managerial positions in both the United States and Greece over a career spanning three decades and is a co-inventor on 15 patents and co-author of more than 100 scientific papers. He entered into his employment agreement with the company in October 2020, ahead of its 2021 public listing.
