Alexander R. Fischer has served as an independent director since 2014 and chairs the Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee.

He is the founder of Alex R. Fischer and Company, a strategic advisory firm, operating in that capacity since 2021, and is a Partner with The New Albany Company. From 2009 to 2021 he was President and CEO of the Columbus Partnership, from 2002 to 2009 he worked in multiple roles at Battelle Memorial Institute (including Senior Vice President for Business and Commercialization), and from 1997 to 2002 he served as Commissioner of Economic Development, Deputy Governor and Chief of Staff for the State of Tennessee.

Mr. Fischer holds a B.S. in Economics and Public Administration and a Master of Science in Urban Planning and Economic Development, both from the University of Tennessee.
