Ivo Andres Sarjanovic has been a member of Adecoagro's Board of Directors since 2018 and currently qualifies as an independent director. He is a non-executive board member of Sucafina S.A. and Minerva Foods and an external advisor on commodity issues to the board of the Arab Bank of Switzerland, and lectures on commodities at the University of Geneva, Universidad Di Tella, and Universidad Austral. He served as CEO of Alvean until 2017, leading it to become the world's largest sugar trader, and spent more than 25 years at Cargill International, where he was Vice-President and World Manager of Cargill Sugar Operations (2011-2014) and Vice-President and Global Trading Manager of Oilseeds in Geneva (2000-2011). He holds a B.A. in Accounting from the National University of Rosario and a Master's in Economics from Universidad Francisco Marroquin, with executive studies at IMD, Oxford and Harvard Business School. He is an Argentine, Italian and Swiss citizen.
