Dr. Robert Hershberg has served on Adaptive Biotechnologies' board of directors since February 2013 and chairs the Compensation and Human Capital Committee. He is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of HilleVax, Inc. (since 2020) and a Venture Partner at Frazier Healthcare Partners (since March 2020). He previously served as Executive Vice President and head of business development and global alliances at Celgene (2017-2020) and as its Chief Scientific Officer (2016-2020), and co-founded VentiRx Pharmaceuticals, serving as CEO from 2012 until its acquisition by Celgene in 2017. He is chairman of the board of Recursion Pharmaceuticals and serves on several private biotech boards and the scientific advisory board of Danaher Corporation. Dr. Hershberg completed the Medical Scientist Training Program and holds a PhD in Biology from UC San Diego's affiliated program with the Salk Institute and an MD and BA from UCLA.
